The Abuja bomb blast that occurred early Monday morning currently represents the height of insecurity in the nation. Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili, a former Minister and influencer on Twitter, urged people to share their solutions to terrorism via Twitter.
Using the hashtag, #CitizensSolutionToEndTerrorism, many of you provided your perspectives. We are curating your responses and next steps will be shared.
#NISstampede: Citizens’ Public Hearing
A citizens’ public hearing on the #NISstampede took place on Wednesday. The key outcome was that victims are ready to take legal action as the government is yet to pay for hospital expenses or map out a plan of compensation for those who lost their lives.
“She was more than a wife. She was a great help and things are tough without her.” Paul Nasiru whose wife died in the stampede.
We Must Demand Accountability!
Minister of the Interior, Abba Moro, must be held accountable for the NIS tragedy caused by greed, negligence and disregard for human life.
1 month later, we don’t have a complete list of those who died nor has anyone been held responsible.

Community Focus: Ikorodu
Residents of Ikorodu in Lagos State have decided to take a proactive approach to creating sustainable change in their community.
After community members cited issues with schools, roads and healthcare access, EiE Nigeria worked with residents to further document and compile concerns.
Through a partnership with the Social and Economic Rights Action Center (SERAC), residents plan to continue to fight for the betterment of their community!
The initial complaint was on #NoWahalaMonday on Top Radio.
