No Hand Make-up for Elections
|INEC has warned against the use of henna (lalle) within 2 weeks before the election, so as to limit potential issues when capturing fingerprints for accreditation.
Henna (lalle), a dye prepared from a flowering plant, is used by northern women in the art of temporary tattooing. With henna in the hands, the card reader will most likely not capture the voter’s fingerprint, thereby creating issues in the voting process.
