EiE Nigeria is 5!!!
|On March 16, 2010, in response to the leadership crisis in Nigeria and the violence in Jos, hundreds of young Nigerians – students, professionals, entrepreneurs & celebrities – organized a rally to the National Assembly.
The rally was a massive success; was the first live streamed protest on the continent making headlines in local and international press with coverage by CNN, BBC and AFP.
With the likes of Audu Maikori, Tolu Ogunlesi, Chude Jideonwo, Stella Damascus, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Omawumi Megbele, Charly Boy and the Rooftop MCs in the frontlines, the protest was talked about for weeks after.
A follow up protest was held in Lagos on April 10th. Post the protests, we decided to get young people engaged in governance issues and EiE Nigeria was born!
