We Are The Change We Seek!

Welcome to the new year and another chapter of great insights and taking progressive steps towards achieving the Nigeria of our dreams. 2022 has begun in earnest, beckoning us to shed the temporary cloak of festivities and tackle pertinent national issues.

Celebrating Our Little Wins!!!

In response to one of the #EndSARS 5 for 5 demands, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved a salary increase for police officers by 20%. Fam! Our struggles for a better Nigeria will not be in vain. We are making significant progress. Let’s keep the pressure on! To improve the criminal justice system, revamping the Nigeria Police force for true service […]

Shine Your Eye!

Dear Active Citizen, The President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, in a paper presented at the First Distinguished Parliamentarians Lecture Series organised by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies in Abuja has revealed the salaries and emoluments of members of the National Assembly to the public. According to him: “The average office running cost for a senator is about ₦13 million while that of a […]

Seeking Justice and Reconciliation

Dear Friend, As of December 5, 2021, Judicial  Panels of Inquiry in 27 states have concluded sittings, 2 states have suspended sittings and 7 states have not set up their respective panels. Sitting is currently ongoing in the F.C.T. Out of the 27 states that have concluded sittings, only 15 states have publicly presented reports to their respective state governments. Of the 15 states, only 4 states’ reports are available to the public.

Get Involved!

Completing the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) process is a demonstration of your intention to participate in the elections! However, when intent is not converted to action on Election Day, the results can be far reaching.

We Are All We Have!!

Dear Friend! As we mark the global 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, which runs between the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (November 25th) and International Human Rights Day (December 10th), we must not forget that Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) is a silent pandemic in Nigeria. Stigmatisation and Victim-blaming have stifled generations of girls and women. Enough is enough!

What Is Your Vote Worth?

As 2023 steadily approaches, it is imperative that the youth arise and mobilise effectively. Join us tomorrow, November 25, 2021 on #ThursdayTalks as we discuss “Broadening Youth Participation in the Electoral Process.”

A Massacre Happened!

The events of the last few days have been bitter-sweet. While believers in the #EndSARS movement got some closure and admittance from the Lagos State Judicial Panel that the Nigerian military actually killed unarmed citizens on the night of October 20, 2020, one cannot but reflect on the fact that the government consistently denied the massacre and continually gaslighted its […]

Pressing Forward!

Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) updates as of November 15, 2021, reveal that less than 45% of fresh registrants have completed their registrations in Ekiti and Osun states. Complete your registration so that you can perform your civic duty in the coming elections. If you are yet to begin the process, click here to start today!

MissingInNG: Putting Faces to the Numbers

Dear Friend, As a citizens-driven organisation, we understand the task ahead of us; one that is not only steeped in the quest for good governance and true democracy but also in doing our bit to fill gaps left to fate, by years of misadministration and selfish interests. It is rather disheartening that Africa’s most populous black […]
