NGOZI OKONJO-IWEALA NAMED ONE OF FINANCIAL TIMES MOST INFLUENTIAL WOMEN OF 2021

Nigerian-born Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), has been named among Financial Times’ 25 most inluential women of 2021.

According to the Financial Times journalists who put together the list, “Across continents, industries, and issues, all of these remarkable women have shaped this tumultuous year. Each of them is sure to help shape the better ones to come.”

Apart from Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, two other Africans made it to the list – Vanessa Nakate – climate activist (Uganda), and Mariam Al-Mahdi – doctor and politician (Sudan).
