Nigerian Shot Put Hero Chukwuebuka Enekachi Sets A New Record In The Shot Put Games!

Chukwuebuka Enekwechi, a Nigerian living in the United States who represents his fatherland in international competitions, won the shot put olympic qualifier, setting an African record of 21.63 metres in the shot put category at the Olympic qualifiers in the Czech Republic.

He broke the indoor African record of 21.47m  previously held by Janus Roberts of South Africa since 2001,  and put together his best series ever in the event, going over 21 metres on every attempt.

Enekwachi who holds the silver medal from the 2018 Commonwealth Games is the current African shot put champion according to Mr Solomon Ogba, the first vice president of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC). 

This feat automatically qualified Mr. Enekachi for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
