In August, Team Nigeria shone bright like a diamond at the commonwealth games in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
The Nigerian team achieved their best performance ever since it started taking part in the Commonwealth Games in 1950, winning 12 gold, nine silver and 14 bronze medals, for a total of 35 medals.
The medals were from weightlifting, athletics, para-athletics, powerlifting, wrestling, para-table tennis, and boxing.
