Nasara James Dabo, a 13-year-old from Kaduna State, has gained attention for her exceptional performance at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) by solving 34 mathematics problems in just 172 seconds, averaging an impressive 5 seconds per question and earning her a gold medal in the junior category. Outshining 150 competitors worldwide, Nasara secured a total score of 145 and claimed the Olympiad Champion title.
Shortly after her IMO victory, she took the Mensa IQ test which resulted in a score of 150, putting her in the top 1% globally among Mensa applicants.
The Mensa IQ test is an online test taken by thousands of people, every year. It gives an indication of general cognitive abilities, represented by an IQ score of between 85 and 145. Candidates with scores in the top 2% are admitted into the Mensa Society.
After bringing great honor to her community, Nasara, who dreams of becoming a doctor, has been offered a scholarship up to the university level by the Kaduna State government.
