PHILIP OKAFOR BECOMES THE FIRST RECIPIENT OF THE DEAN’S SPECIAL PRIZE FOR EXEMPLARY BEHAVIOUR.

Philip Okafor, a 200-level student of Microbiology at the University of Benin, became the first recipient of the Dean’s Special Prize for Exemplary Behaviour. He reportedly found a missing wallet with a large sum of money belonging to another student, at a time he couldn’t pay his tuition, yet he ensured the wallet was returned to its owner. Prof. Jerry Orhue (Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences) exempted Philip from paying tuition for his period of studies as an undergraduate in the Faculty. Congratulations Philips!
