NELSON MANDELA 1918-2013: THE LEGACY CONTINUES
“Our struggle for freedom and justice was a collective effort…it is in your hands to create a better world for all who live in it.”
Nelson Mandela was not only South African, he was African and indeed a citizen of the world. He was a man of immense courage and he truly lived a life of service to humanity.
As we celebrate his life, lets remember that he’s who he is because he chose to live a life of conviction. He walked his talk. He was willing to die for what he believed. We can’t all do that, but WE CAN start BELIEVING we deserve better than the Nigeria we currently have.
Mandela believed that his color did not make him less of a South African or a human being. We ARE all Nigerians despite ethnicity, religion or social class.
His legacy for us is that we BELIEVE we DESERVE a better Nigeria and we will do ALL we can to make Nigeria more equitable for all.
Rest in peace Madiba.
“Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great. You can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.”
