In this edition of our #ThursdayTalks, we discussed “Your LGA and You“, focusing on the importance of local government and its impact on our daily lives. Our conversation highlighted how local government is the closest level of governance to the people, making it crucial for addressing issues that directly affect communities.
We stressed that while many citizens tend to focus on federal and state governments, it’s just as important to pay attention to local governance. The local government plays a vital role in shaping communities, providing essential services, and responding to the immediate needs of citizens. By understanding and engaging with local government, we can better hold them accountable and ensure they are working for the people they serve.
