On Sunday, July 11, 2021, Nurse Afiniki Bako and Nurse Grace Nkutregained freedom after 80 days in captivity.
They were kidnapped on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at the Idon General Hospital in the Kajuru area of Kaduna State while on duty. According to media sources, over 10 million naira was allegedly paid as ransom to the kidnappers.
