Oyin Olugbile has won the 2025 Nigeria Prize for Literature, Africa’s most prestigious literary award, for her acclaimed novel Sanya. The $100,000 prize, sponsored by NLNG, was announced on October 10, 2025.
Olugbile triumphed ahead of Chigozie Obioma (The Road to the Country) and Nikki May (This Motherless Land).
