AKINTOLA WILLIAMS AT 102 YEARS

We celebrate Pa Akintola Williams who turned 102 years old on Sunday, August 8^th. He is indeed a living legend. Pa Williams is the first chartered accountant in Africa. He founded the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 1965 and championed the establishment of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in 1960. Between April 1999 and May 2004, Akintola Williams & Co. merged with
two other accounting firms to create Akintola Williams Deloitte (now known as Deloitte Nigeria), the largest professional services firm in Nigeria. Happy birthday sir!
