The Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry into Police Brutality was established on 19 October 2020 by the Lagos State Government. The state government, however, expanded the scope of the Judicial Panel on 21 October to include the investigation of the 20 October 2020, Lekki Tollgate shooting.
