Dr. Wendy Okolo, a Nigerian-American aerospace engineer, is conducting pioneering research at NASA. Having earned her PhD at just 26 – making her the first Black woman to do so in aerospace engineering at UT Arlington, she now leads critical initiatives in flight safety and control optimization. Based at NASA Ames in Silicon Valley, Dr. Okolo develops advanced monitoring systems and flight control technologies to enhance the safety of modern aerospace systems.
