#JalingoIsInnocent

The trial of Agba Jalingo, publisher of CrossRiverWatch continued this week. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Despite his ill health, Justice Simon Amobeda refused to grant him bail stating Section 161(2)(c) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (2015) relied on by the defence counsel will only avail if the accused has been in custody for 1 year. The case was adjourned to Wednesday, November 6, 2019.

We hope the  Cross River State Government will defer to wise counsel by withdrawing the charges against Agba Jalingo and set him free.

Residents of Bergen County in New Jersey, United States, on Monday, October 28, 2019 demanded the release of Yele Sowore.

The community empathised with Sowore’s family who had not seen their father and husband for over 90 days.
