The Senate on Tuesday, November 5th reintroduced the bill to regulate social media. The bill, 'Protection of Internet Falsehood and Manipulations Bill, 2019' was sponsored by Mohammed Sani Musa. Our existing laws are sufficient to address all possible crimes in using social media, why do we need to create new ones to silence dissenting voices?

The trial of Omoyele Sowore at the Federal High Court, Abuja began this week. Justice Ojukwu adjourned the case until December 5th and 6th.

Sowore has embarked on a hunger strike over the refusal of the DSS to set him free despite his lawyers perfecting his bail conditions.

The trial of Agba Jalingo continued this week. The case was adjourned to Tuesday, November 12th.
